Smart Habit Saturday
Wow, I made it through my first week with a Smart Habit Saturday goal. My goal was to take the dirty laundry down to the laundry room every day. I did pretty well with the exception of leaving it (all gathered up though) in a basket in the kitchen-level hall on Friday. I found that it wasn't all that difficult of a task, and I'm going to keep it up and add, for my new goal... ugh. Making sure all the dishes are done each night before going to bed. I have a bit of a hard time with being told what to do, and if you've ever checked out Flylady, you know that cleaning your darn sink is her first assignment. I've done Flylady reasonably well... a couple times, over the years, but not the "clean sink" part. I'm finally ready to go there. We'll see how it goes.

Funny how those things that belong on another level of the house end up in the wrong place (ie: dishes upstairs and laundry in the kitchen) I've got a tri-level and it's a constant battle. I try to get in the habit of never going up or down without taking something that belongs elsewhere with me. It does seem to help some! Good luck with your new habit!
Cleaning the sink each night is my favorite habit, mostly because of how much I love NOT having dishes greeting me in the morning, esp the crusted over because they weren't at least rinsed. Good luck this week! Oh and I only have a two story but have the same issue with clothes piling up upstairs and other stuff collecting downstairs. I keep a bin at the bottom of the stairs and put stuff in it to empty out when I go up and then bring stuff down on my way back.
I have a hard time with stuff that goes upstairs - it gets piled up on the stairs until I trip over something! Perhaps another Saturday post . . .
