Some hexagons to sew for my DQS9 project. The green up there in the corner is maybe going to be part of this project, too.
A doll quilt for someone... pretty sure the mom of this someone doesn't read my blog, maybe she'll see this though? This is quilted now, binding is made, and I'll hopefully be ready to hand sew the binding down on the trip.
And a few things not pictured: I have fabric and thread ready to make a cape. I don't have any velcro though--if the cape recipient could pick some up that'd be great. (yes, pretty sure she does read my blog)
I'm also preparing a sleeve to sew on a quilt that will be entered in a quilt show on my trip.
And bringing an unquilted quilt... gonna try out my mom's Grace quilting frame and see how I like it.
I made another peasant top for my girl the other day:
It's from a thrift store pillowcase. I thought it was vintage but I found the tag and it's a Pottery Barn Kids pillowcase. 100% cotton, even. I made a matching one for her doll:
I entered the girl's top in the Sew, Mama, Sew Make it/Wear it contest. I had hoped to make myself a skirt this month but I just didn't get to it. Maybe I'll make it in July.
It's great to be organized! I'd panic if I didn't have handwork set up for on the go! Love the little dresses, and someone is going to be so pleased with their little dolly quilt. How sweet! ~karen
